What you are buying

A licence to use Neaten, a desktop application for macOS. You are buying a licence, not the software itself, and not a service — there is no server component and nothing is hosted on your behalf.

Three plans are offered: a one-off Lifetime licence (currently €93), and Yearly and Monthly subscriptions. The software is identical on all three. Current prices are on the pricing page and are what you will be charged.

Trying it first

Neaten can be downloaded and used without paying. The trial allows 5 exports of your own data — exports of the bundled example data do not count, with no time limit and no feature restrictions. No card and no account are required.

Price and VAT

Prices shown include VAT where VAT applies. Businesses in the EU outside Denmark can enter a valid VAT number during checkout, in which case the sale is reverse-charged and no VAT is added. The final amount and the applicable tax are shown before you confirm payment.

Payment and delivery

Payment is taken by Stripe. On a successful payment you are shown your licence key immediately and it is also emailed to you. If for any reason the key cannot be issued at that moment, the page and the email both say so plainly and the key follows; you are never told a key has been sent when it has not.

Delivery is electronic and immediate. There is nothing to ship.

Refunds and cancellation

See Refunds and cancellation, which forms part of these terms.

Updates and support

A lifetime licence includes every Neaten 1.x update. A subscription includes every update while it is active, including new major versions. Updates are downloaded only when you ask for them; there is no automatic update.

Support is by email, in English or Danish, from the address above. There is no guaranteed response time and none is being promised.

What is not promised

Neaten is provided as it is. It is carefully built and extensively tested, and it is designed so that you review every change before it is written — but no software is free of defects and none is promised here to be. You are responsible for keeping copies of files that matter to you. Neaten does not overwrite your source files, and exports are written to a new file.

Neaten prepares data. It is not accounting, tax or legal software and makes no professional certification of any kind. Deciding whether a cleaned file is correct for your purpose remains yours.

To the extent the law allows, liability for any claim arising from the software is limited to what you paid for the licence. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death, personal injury, fraud, or your rights as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Danish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and nothing here takes those away. Disputes may be brought before the Danish courts; a consumer in the EU may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.

Changes

These terms may change for future purchases. The terms that apply to your purchase are the ones published on the day you bought.
